The reason for Speckle Park Certified
Speckle Park Certified was born out of a simple but powerful insight: feedback from food service professionals and industry research consistently showed that Speckle Park is unique—so much so that it deserves to stand alone as a premium beef product. The combination of its impressive feed efficiency and the elevated dining experience it delivers resonates deeply with chefs and restaurateurs.
To build a strong and sustainable market, we knew we had to ensure two things: the quality of the beef and the integrity of its provenance. This week, we were reminded again just how critical that is.
In the space of a few days, I came across multiple examples of misleading claims in the marketplace. Beef was being sold online as Speckle Park when it clearly wasn’t. A quarter-bred Speckle Park bull was being marketed as a sire prospect. Even an organic Angus program had reportedly delivered Hereford steers to a processor. These instances highlight the risks that come with rising demand and growing recognition.
As Speckle Park continues to gain traction, maintaining trust in the breed means doubling down on quality and traceability—both at the animal and beef level.
That’s exactly why we created Speckle Park Certified.
We’re committed to delivering verifiable, chef-grade Speckle Park beef to food service. Our supply chain is built around transparency and integrity. Every animal in our program is sired by a DNA-verified Speckle Park bull and out of either a Speckle Park or British breed female. We do not accept Bos indicus, European breeds, or dairy genetics—because that compromises both eating quality and the story behind the beef.
We also grow our animals to meet the specific requirements of our food service partners, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cut. For many customers, their first taste of Speckle Park happens in a restaurant—and we want it to be unforgettable.
Our goal is simple: to protect the integrity of the breed, support committed producers, and deliver an exceptional eating experience—every single time.
